Gansbaai has become known as the "Great White Shark Capital" of the world. Shark Alley, the stretch of water between Dyer and Geyser islands, is a world renound shark viewing spot. These sharks can be viewed from the deck of a boat, or for a closer view in their own environment there is the shark-cage-diving experience. ( No previous diving experience is required )
As can be seen from the many programmes on television, Gansbaai is the accepted world Mecca for cage diving with the great white sharks. Photographers, film makers, scientists, thrill seekers and tourists alike all come here to experience first hand the magnificence and power of this amazing animal.
We can arrange a shark diving experience at one of the best ( and little known ) spots in Gansbaai with one of our partner companies for you at R1250 per person. Often, tourists are packed into a bus from Cape Town to go shark diving in our area for a few hours, and then leave immediatley afterwards.
Clients who have broken the journey with an overnight stay in Gansbaai or Hermanus note that it relieves them of the pressure and constraints of a structured tour.Because of this, we are currently offering a 10% discount on your accommodation if you book your accommodation and shark tour with us. Stay a while and enjoy everything that this beautiful area has to offer.
